A SINUMERIK ONE PPU 1740 and its width-matched machine control panel, mounted and wired in a Type 12 rear-access operating housing. Pick the screen, pick how it hangs or stands, land 24 V DC and PROFINET, and the machine has its operator station.

What the NCU inside can do
Axes and spindles
- Up to 12 NC axes per PPU 1740, servo and spindle, on SINAMICS S120 via DRIVE-CLiQ
- Grow the axis group with NX10.3 (+3 axes) or NX15.3 (+6 axes) modules
- 1FT/1FK servo, 1PH/1FE/2SP1 spindle, 1FN3 linear and 1FW6 torque motors
- Up to three handwheels, two on the PPU and one on the MCP
G-code and programming
- DIN 66025 G-code with the SINUMERIK high-level language: R-parameters, frames, loops, subprograms
- ISO dialect mode runs programs written for other controls with minimal edits
- ShopMill / ShopTurn work-step programming and programGUIDE cycles for drilling, milling, turning and measuring
- Simulation on the panel before the first cut; Run MyVirtual Machine for the office
PLC, safety and network
- SIMATIC S7-1500F PLC inside, engineered in TIA Portal V15 or later
- Safety Integrated with PROFIsafe V2: safe stop, safe limited speed, safe door monitoring
- PROFINET IO controller for up to 128 devices on X160, 255 on X150 from V6.15
- OPC UA server for MES and data collection; PROFINET IRT for isochronous drives

- SINUMERIK Operate on a 15.6″ 1366 x 768 or 19″ 1920 x 1080 multitouch glass front, IP65
- Machine control panel with mechanical keys, E-Stop, override switches and USB on the front

NCU Operator System - Basic CNC
SINUMERIK ONE PPU 1740 panel processing unit (15.6″ or 19″ multitouch, NCU + S7-1500F PLC in one unit) over a width-matched SINUMERIK ONE machine control panel with E-Stop and integral handwheels, both mounted in a machined 3 mm aluminum plate on a Rittal AX 600 x 600 x 210 Type 12 rear-access operating housing. 24 V DC, PE and the MCP-to-PPU PROFINET patch are pre-wired; hang it on a support arm or pedestal and land one supply and one network cable.
