Build things that actually run.
Think-PLC is one of the fastest-growing private companies in the Triad — and one its own team keeps voting for. Come design, build, and commission control systems that leave our shop and go to work. Benefits start your first day, and we pay 100% of employee health coverage.
Two lists, one story.
The Triad Business Journal measures growth one way and workplace quality another. We are on both lists — and the second one is scored by our own people.

Best Places to Work finalist
A finalist for 2026 — an award decided by confidential employee survey, not by us.
Triad Business Journal, 2026
Growing fast is easy to do badly.
Fast-growing companies are hiring companies. That is the good news: real budget, real headcount, real projects landing every month. The 2025 Fast 50 put a number on it — No. 24 in the Triad — and we are on the 2026 list again.
The catch is that growth usually gets paid for out of somebody's evenings and weekends. That is where the second list comes in. Best Places to Work is scored by a confidential survey of the people who actually work here. Being a finalist while growing this fast is the whole thing we are trying to do.
Plenty of shops can show you one of those lists.
We would rather be on both — and stay there.
Benefits that start on day one.
No 90-day wait to see a doctor. Every full-time employee is eligible for benefits on their first day — and Think-PLC pays 100% of employee health coverage.
Big-company benefits, small-company workplace.
Fair question: how does a shop our size offer eleven medical plans, adoption assistance, and legal services? Because we buy benefits through a professional employer organization — a co-employment model that groups our team with employees from many other companies for benefits purchasing.
That scale is the whole trick. It is why the plan menu looks like something from a company many times our size, and why there is a benefits helpline you can call that is not your manager. What it does not change is the part you actually live in every day — a shop in Winston-Salem where the person running the company knows your name.
Health, 100% employer-paid
Think-PLC covers employee health coverage in full — 7 of our 11 UnitedHealthcare plans cost you $0 a month for employee-only. Want a richer plan or to add family? You pay only the difference.
$50,000 life insurance
Group term life at 100% employer-paid premium. Nothing comes out of your check.
Unlimited paid leave
No accrual system, no bank to drain — take leave when you need it. Kicks in after 90 days of continuous service.
8 paid holidays
Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
Dental & vision
UnitedHealthcare dental with a $1,500 calendar max and half the employee premium covered. VSP vision is included at no extra cost.
401(k) with 3% match

Life at Think-PLC
It all happens at one address: 2975 Cole Rd, Winston-Salem. Engineering, electrical design, the panel shop, and mechanical are under the same roof — so the person who drew it can walk twenty feet and talk to the person building it.
The work is control-system-centric and rarely off the shelf: retrofits, new machine builds, robotic integration, and the kind of one-off problems that do not come out of a catalog. You will see your own work leave the building.
Learn. Respect. Deliver.
Three words, off our V/TO. They are not wall art — they are the filter we hire through, and the same three things we measure each other against once you are here.
Controls work does not hold still. New platforms, new standards, and problems nobody on the team has seen before show up every month. We want the person who gets curious instead of defensive — and we back it with continuing education and training, not just encouragement.
Communicate clearly, do what you said you would do, and treat a coworker's time like it is worth something. Honest and trustworthy is not a bonus trait here, it is the floor — and it applies the same whether you are talking to the shop, the office, or a customer on their plant floor.
Do the work you would put your own name on. Around here we do not just build panels, we create art — and it still has to run right on somebody's floor at 2 a.m., not just look good leaving our shop.
If you have read Traction, you already know what a V/TO is. If you have not: it is the document that keeps a company honest about where it is going and how it behaves getting there. Learn. Respect. Deliver. is the core values section of ours — and it is what the interview below is really trying to find out about you.

What to expect from the interview
Here is our standard first round, start to finish. No trick questions, no mystery stages — you will know where you stand within three days.
Introductions
Your interviewer introduces themselves, then we walk you through what Think-PLC does and who we are.
See the place
If you are on-site, you get a tour of the facility — the shop, the bays, the work itself.
The questions
Four of them, and you can prepare:
- Tell us about yourself and your recent experience.
- Tell us about a mistake you made on the job and how you bounced back.
- Why are you leaving your current role?
- How would you describe your communication style with coworkers?
Your turn, then an answer
The floor is yours for questions, we lay out the timeline, and you hear back within three days either way.
And really, you guys provide this level of being able to think outside of the box a little bit with the design and that was really captured with the catch robot that you guys did for our catch facility. And really, from there it made us think internally, why wouldn't we use Think-PLC a little bit more.
Do not see your role listed?
We are always looking for people whose values line up with ours. Tell us how you would add value to Think-PLC and we will make time to talk.
