Current PLC Training Course Options
In this 3-day course, we provide instruction on Siemens TIA Portal navigation, fundamental understanding of SIMATIC S7 automation system architecture, hardware configuration and parameterization, and essential skills in standard PLC programming. Additionally, students will gain insight into HMI, PROFINET IO, and drive connectivity. Each student will be given a USB stick with training material and a certification of completion.
In this 3-day course, students will build upon their foundational understanding gained in the Automation Accelerator 1 course. Students will gain expertise in controlling, monitoring, and editing programs utilizing Structured Control Language (SCL). They will also receive comprehensive training in sequence control manipulation using SIMATIC S7-GRAPH, empowering them to adapt systems to evolving requirements and minimize downtime effectively. Practical application is emphasized throughout, with students engaging in numerous hands-on exercises using a TIA system model. This model comprises a SIMATIC S7 automation system, ET 200S distributed I/O, Touchpanel, Drive, and Conveyor. Each student will be given a USB stick with training material and a certification of completion.
In this 3-day course, students will develop the ability to select and configure appropriate technology components, including speed axis, positioning axis, and synchronous axis. Additionally, they will gain proficiency in precisely controlling axis motion through integrated motion control functions. The course content encompasses an in-depth exploration of hardware components, including an overview of S7-1500/S7-1500T CPUs, PLC-Simulator, SINAMICS S120 Line Module, Motor Modules, Option boards, Terminal modules, Sensor modules, motors, encoders, and interfaces. Students will dive into commissioning processes such as S7-1500/1500T Hardware configuration, SINAMICS S120 commissioning in TIA Portal, BICO Technology and I/O Assignment, and S7-1500/1500T and SINAMICS Servo drive communication, including telegram assignment. Each student will be given a USB stick with training material and a certification of completion.
In this 2-day course, students delve deeper into mastering the motion control functions offered by the SIMATIC S7-1500 controller. Through the utilization of the technology CPU, students gain the ability to expand application capabilities by incorporating absolute synchronous axes or camming functionalities. This advanced technology course is designed to guide you through the benefits and practical applications of these functions step by step. Throughout the course, students engage in hands-on programming exercises to reinforce your understanding and proficiency. By the course’s conclusion, students will have a comprehensive understanding of camming principles and will possess the skills to efficiently configure parameters for various technology objects. Each student will be given a USB stick with training material and a certification of completion.
In this 3-day course, students achieve proficiency in key safety engineering tasks. By mastering topics such as distributed safety, standards discussion, and hardware configuration, students will gain the skills to locate and understand detailed documentation and select failsafe hardware components effectively. Through practical sessions on safety programming, fail-safe communication, and system response time, students learn to properly implement safety programs in PLCs. Students will develop the ability to document, test, and troubleshoot systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance. Each student will be given a USB stick with training material and a certification of completion.

“And really, you guys provide this level of being able to think outside of the box a little bit with the design and that was really captured with the catch robot that you guys did for our catch facility. And really, from there it made us think internally, why wouldn’t we use Think-PLC a little bit more.”
“But for the most part, if it’s a random project out there I’m calling Bobby… I know that if Bobby works on the project, it’s going to be done and it will be done right.”
